HAVASU CANYON, Arizona, USA November 2001
Near the 150 mile mark of the Grand Canyon, Havasu Canyon is located on the traditional land of the Havasupai Native Americans.
Dark red sandstone walls falling steeply into the canyon, with a swift flowing river of blue-green water, punctuated periodically by 200-ft high waterfalls ... if ever there were a paradise on earth, this would be it. |
DINKEY LAKES, California, USA October 2001
A series of alpine lakes nestled to the west of Kings Canyon National Park in the Seirra Nevadas. 2 major peaks in the area are Dogtooth and 3 Sisters. Great views of the Sierra crest from top of either peak. |
MARIN HEADLANDS, California, USA July 2001

EASTERN SIERRA HOTSPRINGS, Bridgeport/June Lake, California, USA November 2001
The Eastern Slope of the Sierra Nevadas are a goldmine for hotspring lovers. Mostly undeveloped and with beautiful mountain scenery as backdrops, they are well worth the long drive from the Bay Area. |

DINKEY LAKES, California, USA June 2002
Second trip to this beautiful region in the Sierras. Near Courtright Reservoir, a series of lakes nestled amongst magnificent granite peaks. Approach this year was via Cliff Lake on the south-east. |

Tallest mountain in lower 48s at 14,498ft. Successful ascend in late spring conditions. Gosh, those blisters ... |
